Revealed: Chelsea rejected multiple summer bids for €25m star
Chelsea rejected more than three summer bids for Albanian forward Armando Broja, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
Broja, 22, returned to the Blues matchday squad against Aston Villa for the first time since 2022 after his return from a serious ACL injury.
The forward came off the bench for the final 11 minutes, but was unable to prevent a 1-0 defeat to Unai Emery’s side. The result leaves Chelsea in 14th place in the Premier League table, with just one win from their opening five top flight fixtures this season.

The west London club spent over €450 million during the summer window, with the likes of Moises Caicedo (€116m), Romeo Lavia (€62.1m) and Christopher Nkunku (€60m) moving to Stamford Bridge for big money.
However, due to their elaborate spending since Todd Boehly took over as owner in 2022, multiple sales were sanctioned during the window.
Kai Havertz, Mason Mount and Mateo Kovacic were among the names to depart Chelsea this summer, along with Kalidou Koulibaly, Christian Pulisic, Edouard Mendy, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Ethan Ampadu and Callum Hudson-Odoi.

Conor Gallagher and Trevoh Chalobah were both linked with a move away too, but neither were granted an exit and the former has worn the captain’s armband on several occasions this season.
Broja could have left Chelsea
Another player who could have left Chelsea was Armando Broja. According to Fabrizio Romano, the Blues rejected “more than three loan and permanent bids” for the 22-year-old.
Broja scored one goal and provided one assist in 18 appearances for the Blues during an injury-hit 2022-23 campaign, while he bagged six Premier League goals on loan at Southampton the season prior.
He currently has an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €25m, which has fallen from a peak of €41.7m back in October 2022.
Broja has five years left on his Chelsea contract, having signed an extension in September last year.
