Insane Pochettino stat shows how much BIGGER Chelsea are than Tottenham
When Mauricio Pochettino joined Chelsea in the summer, he would have been aware that he would have money to spend. What the new Blues boss perhaps did not appreciate, however, was just how much financial muscle he would have.
Of course, being at a super-rich club is nothing new for Pochettino, who was the head coach at PSG when they had Kylian Mbappe, Neymar and Lionel Messi leading their line, but in a Premier League context even he must have been surprised by just how much backing he would get from owners Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital.

How much money has Pochettino spent at Chelsea?
Pochettino has overseen Chelsea for little more than two months and has spent approximately €464 million on players. Having taken over on 30 June, that means he has spent on average €7m on a player every day since joining the club.
What is perhaps most remarkable, though is that Pochettino has spent more in a single transfer window with Chelsea than he did in 11 with Tottenham.
The Argentine was in charge of Spurs for more than five years, stretching from June 2014 to November 2019 and yet spent less during that period than he has already at Chelsea.

Pochettino spent a shade under €440m while with Tottenham, with his biggest signing during his time at White Hart Lane coming in the form of Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele, who he added for €62m.
He has already signed two players for a greater fee than this at Chelsea: Moises Caicedo for €116m and Romeo Lavia, who joined from Southampton for €62m.
By contrast, Pochettino spent only €91m during his 18 months at PSG, excluding deals for Vitinha and Nuno Mendes, which arrived just a week before he formally left the Parc des Princes side.
