Thiago Silva reveals Champions League JEALOUSY after Chelsea FURY

Chelsea defender Thiago Silva has posted his disappointment at the Blues’ failure to qualify for this season’s Champions League as the 2023-24 competition gets underway.
The west London club finished in a lowly 12th place in the Premier League last campaign, meaning they are not playing in any form of European competition this year.
Chelsea went through four different managers during the 2022-23 season as they struggled to find form, despite huge investment by Todd Boehly.

In total, the Blues have spent over €1 billion since the American took over as owner last summer.
However, they are not participating in the Champions League this year, something that has not happened since 2018-19, when they won the Europa League under Maurizio Sarri.
With AC Milan vs Newcastle and Young Boys vs RB Leipzig kicking off the 2023-24 competition, Thiago Silva posted on Twitter - now known as X - to share his disappointment that Chelsea are not playing in the UCL this campaign.

The Brazil international, who has 105 Champions League appearances during his illustrious career, posted on Twitter: “@ChampionsLeague” accompanied by a sad face emoji.

Chelsea’s struggles
Thiago Silva helped Chelsea win the Champions League under Thomas Tuchel in 2021, with the Blues beating Manchester City 1-0 in the final, courtesy of a Kai Havertz goal.
Silva started the final, but was replaced by Andreas Christensen after suffering an injury in the first-half.
In total, only three players from Chelsea’s matchday squad that day remain at the club this season: Reece James, Ben Chilwell and Silva.
Kepa Arrizbalaga, who was on the bench against City, is also still on Chelsea’s books, but he is on loan at Real Madrid for the 2023-24 season. The Spaniard has also said that he would like to extend his stay at Los Blancos past this campaign.
Chelsea are currently 14th in the Premier League, eight points off the top four. Silva was seen berating his Blues team-mates during their 0-0 draw against Bournemouth, bemoaning the lack of passing options.
