Everton are prepared to meet Leeds’ valuation for Wilfried Gnonto but Leeds are still haggling with the Merseyside club, FootballTransfers is told.

We revealed the club’s interest in the winger earlier this summer, but so far the Toffees have been unsuccessful in landing him, with a number of offers knocked back.

But we are told that the deal for Alex Iwobi is basically done with Fulham and so the club will receive money that they did not expect. This has bolstered their chances of landing Gnonto, though they have Luis Sinisterra and Kamaldeen Sulemana as backup options.

Sean Dyche has made Gnonto is primary target for the flanks, while the player has already agreed personal terms in principle.

Gnonto wishes to play in the Premier League in order to land a chance to play for the Italy national side for the European Championships next year.

Gnonto had attempted to go on strike, refusing to train or play, in a bid to land a move to Goodison Park. But the deal took a stumbling block and it was believed that Everton had opted to pull out entirely.

But now it looks like it’s back on for them, and they will try and agree a deal with Leeds on the final day of the transfer window.

Meanwhile, we are told that Lille want Demari Gray on loan, but Everton want the move to have an obligation-to-buy in there. It’s not clear whether that will be accepted yet by the Ligue 1 club.

Furthermore, Liga side Cadiz are in talks for Jean-Philippe Gbamin and we are told that a deal is getting close.
