Man Utd: Onana 'the Maguire of goalkeeping' commits HOWLER against Bayern Munich

Manchester United supporters are being mocked after a howler from Andre Onana against Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

The former Inter goalkeeper committed a terrible mistake during his club’s Champions League clash with Bayern after Leroy Sane managed to get his shot off and it somehow trundling into the back of the net.

The shot should have been easily saved but the Man Utd goalkeeper let it trickle under his body and into the back of the net.

David de Gea recently left Man Utd after over a decade of service, it is thought that his mistakes against West Ham were the reason for his departure.

Even club legend Rio Ferdinand touched on the display of Onana in the first-half, telling TNT Sport: "This is a nightmare scenario for Onana. He’s confident as you like with his feet, but as a goalkeeper you’re paid to come in to make saves. He doesn’t hit it with any real purpose, he didn’t hit is wide of him, it isn’t in the corners. Onana’s reaction is that he should save this, it should be food and drink to him. He should be picking this up and looking for his next pass. It’s a very, very bad mistake and one he needs to recover from."

And some have been even more cutting, even calling on Man Utd to bring De Gea following the mistake by Onana.

Supporters did not hold back in their assessment of the 27-year-old, especially after Serge Gnabry found himself on the scoresheet to double Bayern’s leads not long after.
