Romano reveals ‘INCREDIBLE’ lengths Amrabat went to for Man Utd transfer

Manchester United are set to finally land Sofyan Amrabat from Fiorentina, and football transfer news specialist Fabrizio Romano has detailed the extraordinary lengths that the player has gone to for the deal to finally happen.
Man Utd boss Erik ten Hag is a long-time admirer of Amrabat, who he worked with at Utrecht.
The 27-year-old has been set on a reunion with the Dutchman throughout the summer transfer window but the deal has been persistently delayed because of United have struggled to raise the funds to complete a transfer.

Initially, the Red Devils targeted Amrabat on a permanent transfer but their economic issues have meant that they have altered their approach a to a loan.
Nevertheless, the persistence of the Morocco international is set to pay off.

Amrabat doing ‘incredible’ things for Man Utd
Romano explains: “It’s finally done. And I say finally because Sofyan Amrabat has been waiting for Manchester United since the end of June.
“What Amrabat did for Man Utd is really incredible. He rejected proposals from the Saudi Pro League, rejecting approaches from other clubs, including Fulham and many others in recent days.
“Only Man Utd. This was the message from Sofyan Amrabat and then green light from Fiorentina for the deal on Deadline Day.
“We can confirm that Amrabat will undergo medical tests and sign as a new Manchester United player.”
On top of this, the Morocco World Cup star has been pushing Fiorentina to accept a deal by training alone at Fiorentina, who have naturally not been selecting him for their most recent matches.
Amrabat will be Manchester United’s third signing on Deadline Day, following Turkish goalkeeper Altay Biyindir and Tottenham defender Sergio Reguilon, who arrives as emergency cover at left-back following injuries to Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia.
Jonny Evans has also signed a contract extension to keep him at the club for the season.
