'I've been a scapegoat' - Sancho issues social media RESPONSE to Ten Hag after Arsenal SNUB
Jadon Sancho has hit back at Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag after the Red Devils manager did not select him in the matchday squad to face Arsenal.
Ten Hag cited training performances as the reason why Sancho was omitted from the 18-man squad, something he revealed after the game.
When asked about why the Englishman was not picked, Ten Hag said: “Jadon wasn’t picked [today] on his performance in training. You have to reach the level every day at Manchester United. That’s why in this game he wasn't selected.”

However, Sancho has now taken to social media in disagreement with his manager. The former Borussia Dortmund forward posted on Twitter: “Please don’t believe everything you read!
“I will not allow people saying things that is completely untrue, I have conducted myself in training very well this week. I believe there are other reasons for this matter that I won’t go into, I’ve been a scapegoat for a long time which isn’t fair!
“All I want to do is play football with a smile on my face and contribute to my team. I respect all decisions that are made by the coaching staff, I play with fantastic players and grateful to do so which I know every week is a challenge. I will continue to fight for this badge no matter what!”

Sancho at Man Utd
Sancho appeared as a substitute in each of Man Utd’s opening three fixtures of the new Premier League campaign, but was not included in the matchday squad for the 2-1 loss to Arsenal.
Sancho still has three years left on his contract at Old Trafford, but his time at the club looks as though it could come to an end soon.
He was linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur previously, while Aston Villa were interested earlier this year - as exclusively reported by FootballTransfers.
Sancho has scored 12 goals and six assists in 82 Man Utd appearances.
