Man Utd legend Ferdinand reveals Sancho's GRIM future amid Ten Hag row
Rio Ferdinand has given his verdict on Jadon Sancho's row with Erik ten Hag.
The season has only just started and Manchester United are already in turmoil. Despite a positive end to the transfer window that saw the Red Devils finally land Sofyan Amrabat, the mood has turned gloomy at Old Trafford in record time.
As if losing 3-1 to Arsenal wasn't bad enough, drama that should have been kept behind the scenes has now been made public. Erik ten Hag stated that Jadon Sancho had been omitted from his matchday squad because of poor training performances, which prompted the England international to hit back at the Dutchman on social media.

“Please don’t believe everything you read! I will not allow people saying things that is completely untrue," Sancho fired, "I have conducted myself in training very well this week. I believe there are other reasons for this matter that I won’t go into, I’ve been a scapegoat for a long time which isn’t fair!"
Now, Rio Ferdinand has weighed in on the situation.
What did Ferdinand say?
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Ferdinand made it clear that he believes that Sancho has backed himself into a corner and that there are only two possible solutions to the problem.
"There’s no way," Ferdinand said, "Jadon is putting out a statement like that if he hasn’t, in his own eyes, performed well. That’s the difference as well. On his chart, Jadon [might think] – ‘I’ve trained alright,’ but the manager might have a different standard."
"There’s two ways this ends. There’s only one window open now and that’s Saudi. Or you’re on the bench or not getting in the squad for the rest of the season."

It's clear that Sancho needs to leave United for his own good, but is a move to the Middle East the right course of action at this stage in his career?
Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Ten Hag and Sancho are set to meet this week in a bid to resolve the issue, but it is doubtful whether a breakthrough can be achieved. After all, Sancho has rarely looked happy at Old Trafford since his €85 million move from Borussia Dortmund.
