Man Utd sent transfer bid from Saudi Pro League for €85m star
Manchester United have been sent an official transfer offer from a mystery Saudi Pro League club for embattled winger Jadon Sancho.
Although the transfer window for Premier League teams signing players is closed, the Saudi Pro League’s window will not shut until 10pm BST on 7 September, giving leeway to make dramatic late moves.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has already called the situation problematic due to the reported interest in attacker Mohamed Salah, but Man Utd could welcome this turn of events as there are numerous players in Erik ten Hag’s squad who are surplus to requirements.

One of those is potentially Sancho, who manager Ten Hag left out of the 3-1 defeat to Arsenal at the weekend, citing the player’s poor performance in training.
The former Borussia Dortmund winger, who was signed by Man Utd for €85m in 2021 hit back that he was being made a “scapegoat” and that fans should not believe everything they read.

Sancho gets late transfer offer from Saudi
A Saudi Pro League side is trying to take advantage of this rift, according to Sport Italia, which claims that one club has “sent an official offer” to Sancho’s agents. In order to do this legally, they would first have had to receive permission from Man Utd.
It is unclear which Saudi Pro League club has made the offer for Sancho, but the likelihood is that it is one of the big four, which are funded by the Public Investment Fund (PIF).
These clubs include Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr, Al-Ittihad, which are spearheaded by Ballon d’Or winner Karim Benzema, Neymar’s Al-Hilal and Al-Ahli, which made a splash when they beat several top European sides to sign Gabri Veiga from Celta Vigo.
Man Utd could well be open to a deal for Sancho, who has disappointed since his big-money move from Dortmund, although the Old Trafford club could face a potential wing crisis given Antony’s off-field problems and Amad Diallo’s injury.
