Man Utd close in on ANOTHER world-record deal
Manchester United are closing in on yet another world-record deal.
After striking a record-breaking £60 million-per-year agreement with US-based technology company Qualcomm that will see its Snapdragon brand replace TeamViewer on Red Devils kits from next season onwards, the Manchester club are now working on another eyebrow-raising move.
This one is not a sponsorship deal but a player signing. According to the Daily Mail, Man Utd Women are closing in on the signing of Phallon Tullis-Joyce from National Women's Soccer League side OL Reign.

It is said that United are ready to stump up north of £100,000 for the American goalkeeper, which would represent a women's transfer record for that position. The Women's Super League transfer period ends on Thursday (September 14), but United are confident of completing a deal before the window slams shut.
Indeed, Tullis-Joyce is already on her way to England to complete the move and this news has thrown up questions regarding the future of England star Mary Earps.
Earps to stay regardless
However, according to the above-mentioned report, this deal will not influence United's stance that the World Cup hero is not for sale. The 30-year-old reportedly wants to leave the club, but the Red Devils are refusing to sanction a move despite Arsenal being ready to also break the women's goalkeeper transfer record to get her signature.
Earps is out of contract next summer, so United are once again facing an Alessia Russo-type situation. Arsenal were ready to pay a world-record fee for the forward in January, but Man Utd rejected the approach and Russo instead signed for the Gunners for free in the summer.
ANDRE ONANA: Man Utd FLOP, Inter FLY
Though Man Utd have completed some intriguing signings by snapping up Brazil international Geyse, World Cup golden boot winner Hinata Miyazawa and several high-potential youngsters, it's not hard to see why Earps wants to jump ship given that the Red Devils have lost a host of star players following last season's surprising runners-up finish.
United kick off the new WSL campaign on away to Aston Villa on October 1.
