SHOCK club set to make MILLIONS from Ferguson's £100m Arsenal move
While Brighton will be hoping Evan Ferguson stays put, another club may be forgiven for looking forward to a big-money sale.
The 18-year-old striking sensation gave another sign of his talents by smashing a brilliant hat-trick for the Seagulls during Saturday's Premier League clash against Newcastle.
He now has four goals this campaign and a total of 14 in 33 games in his career to date, as Brighton continue to impress at the start of 2023-24.
EXCLUSIVE: Arsenal late approach for La Liga star snubbed
Ferguson's talents have of course not gone unnoticed.
Football Transfers revealed in August that Arsenal were weighing up an approach for the teenage forward next summer, and that Brighton would not even consider parting with their gem for less than £100 million.
The Seagulls have shown that even their stars are available for the right price, selling on the likes of Marc Cucurella, Alexis Mac Allister and Moises Caicedo for huge profits over the last 12 months.
A huge windfall in store?
With that in mind, League of Ireland outfit Bohemians may be preparing to uncork the champagne bottles.
The Dubliners released Ferguson to Brighton in 2021, in a deal that is believed to contain a sell-on clause of between 10 and 15 per cent.
Should the player, then, move for £100m, Bohemians would be in line for a payment of at least £10m - a staggering amount in the context of Irish football.
The transfer would also smash the record for an Irish player, currently set by Nathan Collins' £23m move to Brentford earlier this summer; while for further context, League of Ireland winners receive a pot of £107,000 in prize money and the current minimum full-time wage in the division is set at £19,130 - a year, that is.
