Liverpool renew interest in Copa Libertadores star
Liverpool are set to redouble their efforts to sign one of the stars of South America's Copa Libertadores competition in January, according to reports.
Andre, 22, has been outstanding for Fluminense throughout 2023 as the Rio de Janeiro side look to lift their first-ever Copa.
But his talents are no secret to Liverpool, who tried to sign him over the summer.

It was the Libertadores in fact which proved the Reds' downfall, as the tournament runs over the calendar year and Fluminense were unwilling to negotiate a transfer in the middle of their quest for silverware.
But their interest is undimmed, and 90min reports that despite strengthening their midfield with Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai, Wataru Endo and Ryan Gravenberch they will make another effort to sign Andre when the window reopens.
Who is Andre?
Liverpool reportedly had scouts present on Wednesday and they will have liked what they saw as Fluminense overcame Brazilian rivals Internacional in a thrilling semi-final second leg to advance to the final against Argentina's Boca Juniors.
Andre once more stood out, anchoring the Fluminense midfield with another classy performance.
A natural defensive midfielder, the youngster stands out both on and off the ball, ranking amongst the very best in Brazil both in passing accuracy (almost 95 per cent made on average per game) and in interceptions and tackles, while he is not afraid to play his way out of trouble either with his sterling technique while in possession.
He has been ever-present for Flu in this year's Copa and has also attracted the attention of the Brazil national team, for whom he made his debut against Senegal in June.
