January Saudi move? Liverpool make stance on Salah sale clear
Liverpool have no intention of selling Mohamed Salah in January, according to a report.
The Reds star continues to be linked with a big-money move to Saudi Arabia. In the summer, the Egyptian, who came 11th in this year's Ballon d'Or ranking, was the subject of intense interest from reigning Pro League champions Al-Ittihad.
There was talk of an eye-watering transfer fee in the region of €100 million to €150m. Liverpool refused to give in despite the money on the table, which some believed to be rather foolish given that Salah is on the wrong side of 30. Despite knocking back the Saudi interest, the expectation has always been that they will return with more big-money offers.

Though their resolve will once again be tested, the Reds will hold firm in January and resist the temptation of cashing in on the Egyptian King.
Salah not for sale
That's at least according to Football Insider. The report claims that even in the event of Salah pushing for a move, Liverpool would rebuff any and all approaches in the winter.
The winger has notched 10 goals so far this season and will be vital to the Reds' attempts at having a successful campaign after a miserable 2022/23. Liverpool currently sit fourth in the Premier League, while topping their Europa League group.

A Saudi move will be much more likely in the summer for Salah. The 31-year-old enters the final year of his contract in 2024, which means that the summer will be Liverpool's final chance to cash in on their club legend.
A switch in the summer would make sense for everyone involved as Liverpool could bank a hefty fee while also having enough time to find a proper replacement, which would be incredibly tough in the winter when clubs are usually reluctant to let their stars walk.
