Man Utd seek to extend Lindelof amid transfer interest
Manchester United are set to extend the contract of defender Victor Lindelof, according to reports.
Lindelof arrived at Old Trafford in 2017 from Benfica but has slipped down the pecking order in the United defence.

Injuries to the likes of Raphael Varane, Lisandro Martinez and Sergio Reguilon, however, have recently opened the door to the Sweden international, who started at left-back during Saturday's 2-1 victory over Brentford and has featured in seven of the side's eight Premier League outings to date.
And while Lindelof may not form a part of Erik ten Hag's long-term defensive plans, United are nevertheless looking for extra security amid strong transfer interest around the 29-year-old.
Why are Man Utd looking to extend?
The Daily Star reports that United are now prepared to execute an option in his contract that will see his current deal run a further year to June 2025.
That will avoid the prospect of Lindelof leaving on a cheap transfer as his Red Devils link comes to a close this season, as he would otherwise be free to depart for nothing next summer.
The newspaper claims that Serie A giants Juventus and Milan are both interested in the player, and that with the restructured deal United hope to raise up to £15 million in a potential sale in January or after 2023-24 comes to a close.
Lindelof has played a total of 241 games for the Reds, scoring three goals.
