Manchester United’s relationship with Jadon Sancho is drawing to an end, with the situation between the winger and the club apparently “unresolvable”.

Sancho and Man Utd manager Erik ten Hag fell out in August, when the player was not selected in the matchday squad for a Premier League encounter with Arsenal.

After Ten Hag criticised the former Borussia Dortmund winger in his post-match comments, the England winger posted an angry message on social media that said he felt he had been made a “scapegoat” by the club.

Sancho has not appeared for United since that moment, with the player apparently steadfast in his refusal not to apologise to Ten Hag for his actions.

The Athletic reports that the “matter appears unresolvable” and that Man Utd are seeking a solution in the January transfer window.

Who will buy Sancho?

Jadon Sancho looks likeliest to join a Saudi Pro League team from Man Utd.

According to the report, European clubs will struggle to match his wages, which total more than £200,000 per week.

As has been underlined previously, Borussia Dortmund, who he has been linked with previously, would find it impossible to foot such a cost.

And there were already discipline issues with the player at BVB, as the Athletic explains: “For all his brilliant performances in Germany, oversleeping and timekeeping were issues at times there too.”

In terms of European clubs that might be able to land the player, Juventus and Chelsea are touted as the likeliest options, with Man Utd refusing to rule out the possibility of a loan deal.

The Red Devils, though, will surely be looking for a permanent sale, and for that, Sancho may need to join form Man Utd teammate Cristiano Ronaldo in the Saudi Pro League.
