Jadon Sancho is no closer to making amends with Erik ten Hag and rejoining the Manchester United first team.

Sancho has been out of the picture at Old Trafford since being left out of the matchday squad for the 3-1 defeat to Arsenal on 3 September.

Ten Hag explained his decision to the media by saying that the winger had not been up to standard in training.

"Jadon, on his performances in training, we did not select him," said the Dutchman. "You have to reach a level every day at Manchester United and we can make choices in the front line. So, for this game, he was not selected.”

Sancho later posted on social media that Ten Hag's comments were 'completely untrue'.

"Please don’t believe everything you read," he responded. "I will not allow people to say things that are completely untrue, I have conducted myself in training very well this week.

"I believe there are other reasons for this matter that I won’t go into, I’ve been a scapegoat for a long time which isn’t fair!"

This caused a rift between the pair, and the 23-year-old has been forced to train with the academy as a result.

And, it has been made clear that he will not not be reintegrated into the senior team until he apologises.

According to the Guardian, senior members of United's squad have urged him to do so, although he remains reluctant.

Sancho's Man Utd future

The Daily Mail are reporting that Man Utd will listen to offers for Sancho in the January transfer window if the situation is not already resolved.

The Red Devils were willing to accept £45m for the former England international in the summer, more than a £25m loss on the fee they paid Dortmund, but they will likely have to accept even less now.

Alternatively, Ten Hag's side could look to find a loan move for Sancho, in the hopes that he rebuilds some value before selling in the summer.
