Man Utd legend set for shock return if Sheikh Jassim wins takeover
David Beckham is reportedly in line for an ambassadorial role at Manchester United should Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al Thani’s bid for the club prove successful.
The former Red Devils winger will be offered a post at the club if the Qatari–led consortium manage to take over, according to TalkSport. In November last year, the Glazers put the club up for sale, but so far have not accepted any of the bids that have come in.
Beckham was asked about the move during the Qatar Formula One Grand Prix, where he said that he 'knows the right people' to finally relieve the Glazer family of their ownership.

He said to Sky Sports: “We are one of the, if not the biggest club in the world. We want stability. I think that's the most important thing.
“We all have our favourites of who we feel needs to run the club and look after the club to take it back to where it belongs. In our eyes, in the fans' eyes, we are number one. We want to be back at the top and I believe I know the right people to do that so we'll see.”

Beckham landed a role as an ambassador for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar last year - and his relationship with them remains, it appears. Is it thought that Beckham was paid £10million to endorse the event at the time.
Man Utd’s protracted sale continues
The Glazers continue their reign as owers despite putting the club up for sale almost a year ago. Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who has also made offers to buy Man Utd, is considering whether to make an offer for a minority stake instead, something that would see the controversial Glazer family remain in control,

It is also reported that Qataris are still pursuing a 100% takeover of Man Utd.
The club have suffered four defeats in eight Premier League games while they have also lost both of their opening two Champions League games.
Beckham, however, has implored Man Utd to keep Erik ten Hag at the helm. “Let's see. He's a good coach,' Beckham said. “It is a difficult time at the moment but there's a lot of noise around the club at the moment. It can't be easy for him.
“We all want that noise to go away. We all want a decision to be made for the club, for the fans, for the players and for the managers.”
