Real Madrid are not willing to pick between Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland, and will instead target transfers for both the PSG and Manchester City attackers.

Los Blancos have been reliant on the excellence of Jude Bellingham to carry them to the top of LaLiga this season, with the England international scoring twice as they claimed a famous come-from-behind win over Barcelona in El Clasico on Saturday.

But while Bellingham is currently netting a goal-per-game, president Florentino Perez wants to bolster his attacking options further and is ready to make two superstar arrivals to compensate for the summer’s loss of Ballon d’Or winner Karim Benzema to the Saudi Pro League.

OPTIONS: Better than Mbappe? Real Madrid have a superior option to PSG striker

El Chiringuito reports that they plan to add to their firepower in an audacious swoop that would see them sign both Mbappe and Haaland.

Real Madrid will not necessarily sign the pair next summer, although they are targeting Mbappe at that point as he is destined to become a free agent when his contract with PSG expires.

Haaland, meanwhile, could arrive a year or two later, with Los Blancos planning to trigger the release clause in his contract.

Mbappe and Haaland: The impossible dream?

This scenario would be a perfect one for Real Madrid. In reality, capturing one of these players is likely to stress their budget to such an extent that signing the other is impossible.

Of course, the renovation of the Bernabeu may help to provide funds to allow both to join, but it may mean making sacrifices elsewhere in the squad.

Meanwhile, there must be a question mark if Mbappe would even want to play alongside Haaland, and vice-versa, given his difficult time striking up an effective partnership with Lionel Messi and Neymar at PSG.

Mbappe, for the moment, is the likelier of the pair to arrive, and the focus at Real Madrid will be ensuring that the France star joins next summer.
