EXCLUSIVE: West Ham consider move for Wolves star in January window

West Ham have made enquiries regarding Wolves defender Nelson Semedo, FootballTransfers has learned.
With Vladimir Coufal now entering the final year of his contract at the London Stadium, and at 31 years old, the Hammers are looking for a like-for-like replacement for the Czech international.
Semedo has been Wolves' first choice at right-wing-back since his arrival from Barcelona in September 2020, and has 27 full caps for the Portuguese national side.

Coufal has enjoyed a good start to the season and West Ham could be tempted to activate the years' extra option on his contract, but FootballTransfers understands that the Irons have told him they can't guarantee regular first-team football - something which could be a sticking point.
Davie Moyes’ side are now considering a move for Semedo in the upcoming January transfer window.
Semedo has an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €15.9million, as per FootballTransfers’ in-house algorithm. His contract is up in June 2025 and there has been no suggestion yet that he will sign fresh terms, or even that Wolves are weighing up offering him a deal.

Wolves beat Premier League champions
Wolves enjoyed a superb win over Manchester City last weekend, ending their 100% Premier League record at Molineux as Hwang Hee-chan netted a second-half winner.
Ruben Dias put one into his own net after Pedro Neto had gone on a right-wing dribble. But it was Semedo's run forward that helped them get a second goal in the Midlands. Matheus Nunes, formerly of Wolves, was booed with every touch before being hooked off at half-time.
Wolves are now placed 15th in the Premier League table after seven matches in the competition. The Midlands club have Aston Villa and Bournemouth in their next two games.
