The surprise team of the 2023-24 Premier League season so far has been Tottenham Hotspur.

After selling star player Harry Kane for a club record fee to Bayern Munich in the summer, not much was expected by Spurs.

However, under new manager Ange Postecoglou, Spurs have had a stunning start to the season.

As of October 24, after nine matches, Tottenham are top of the Premier League table and still unbeaten.

This has led many Tottenham fans to dream of a shock Premier League title triumph come May 2024.

When did Tottenham last win the league?

Tottenham last won the top-flight league title in England in 1961.

Coached by Bill Nicholson, Spurs romped to the 1960-61 Football League First Division ahead of Sheffield Wednesday. They claimed the league and FA Cup double that season.

Spurs have won two top-flight league titles in the history of the club. Tottenham’s first league championship was in 1950-51 under Arthur Rowe when they finished above Man Utd.

Tottenham also won the Second Division twice, in 1919-20 and 1949-50.
