EXCLUSIVE: Arsenal have received NO offer for Aaron Ramsdale but have named price
Arsenal are unaware of any formal approach from other Premier League sides for Aaron Ramsdale, FootballTransfers has been told.
Despite reports to the contrary, the Gunners are yet to receive any offer for the England international, while they are not actively looking to sell.
The sources close to the club have indicated that they do not wish to move the shot-stopper on - plus they are unaware of any formal approach from other Premier League sides. Arsenal remain content with Ramsdale's conduct and performances so far, even though David Raya has become the first-choice goalkeeper.
However, it has been revealed to us that while Arsenal values Ramsdale's contribution to the team, head coach Mikel Arteta is open to the possibility of the 25-year-old leaving if he strongly expresses the desire to do so.
If Ramsdale pushes for an exit, either in January or during the summer transfer window and a fair offer comes in, Arsenal will be prepared to undergo talks.
The Gunners have set a firm stance on Ramsdale’s transfer fee, of around £50million we are told, but they would rather he remain at the Emirates for the foreseeable future and compete for a spot in the starting XI.
Ramsdale's potential departure has caught the attention of several clubs - but as of now, there have been no official bids or negotiations over a move, with January now less than two months away.
Arsenal see Ramsdale as a key member of the side but will not hesitate if the player makes a strong motion to force a move away from north London.
What has Ramsdale achieved at Arsenal?
Ramsdale signed for Arsenal in August 2021 from Sheffield United, and he’s gone on to land an England place, being part of Gareth Southgate's 26-man squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup held in Qatar.
Ramsdale has made just eight appearances this season despite being a regular starter in the two campaigns prior.
The addition of Raya over the summer window has seen his chances dry up, and now he plays second-fiddle to the Spaniard.
