Barcelona target LaLiga sensation who dreams of Man City transfer
Girona youngster Savinho is attracting the attention of Barcelona - but he dreams of playing for Manchester City.
The Brazilian winger has burst onto the scene this season at Girona, City Football Group's Spanish side. Loaned to the club from another CFG team, Troyes, Savinho - who also, confusingly, goes by Savio - is finally showing the talent that once made him a sought-after commodity.
After flopping at PSV in the Eredivisie last term, Savio is tearing it up in LaLiga with the high-flying Catalans, who sit joint-top with Real Madrid. Girona are managing to get the best out of him and the 19-year-old is handsomely repaying them, having notched four goals and four assists so far this season.

This has attracted the attention of Barcelona and their sporting director Deco is already familiar with the youngster. The ex-Blaugrana and Chelsea player tried to recruit him for his now-defunct agency when he was still plying his trade in his native Brazil with Atletico Mineiro.
Deal not easy
According to Sport, a deal will not be easy to strike, however. Though Barcelona, braced for the potential departure of Ansu Fati, are keen to add a left winger next summer, the fact that Savio belongs to the powerful City Football Group is a potential problem.
The influential club network will be loathe to let one of their biggest talents exit their orbit and, what's more, the player has previously stated that the reason why he joined a CFG club (Troyes) in the first place is that he eventually wants to suit up for Man City.

He also revealed that he almost signed for Arsenal at one point, so it's clear that there will be plenty of other interested suitors. Given Barcelona's financial difficulties, it will be tough to get Savinho to stay in Catalunya.
