Lukaku beats Ronaldo and Mbappe to top scorer award
Romelu Lukaku has finished as the top scorer in Euro 2024 qualification with an incredible 14 goals from just eight games.
The on-loan Roma striker found the back of the net on 14 occasions as Belgium finished top of Group F in order to qualify for the European Championship finals in Germany next year.
Lukaku scored his 14 goals from just 597 minutes of football, which converts to a goal every 43 minutes.

He scored a hat-trick in a 3-0 win at Sweden and hit doubles home and away versus Estonia.
Lukaku also scored in the 1-1 home draws against Sweden and Austria, as well as finding the net in the 3-2 victory over second-placed Austria.
The 30-year-old finished the qualification campaign with four goals in 45 minutes as Belgium beat Azerbaijan 5-0.
Cristiano Ronaldo was second top scorer in Euro 2024 qualification with 10 goals for Portugal as the 38-year-old also shows no signs of slowing down in Group J.
Kylian Mbappe was third top scorer in qualification as he struck nine times for France in Group B.
Other good performers were Harry Kane (eight goals for England), Rasmus Hojlund (seven goals for Denmark) and Scott McTominay (seven goals for Scotland).

Owned by Chelsea, Lukaku has enjoyed a superb start to the 2023-24 season on loan at Roma as he has scored nine goals in just 14 games.
