Fabrizo Romano provides Andre update amid Liverpool and Man Utd links
Fabrizio Romano has given an update on the situation around Andre, amid speculation about the future of the youngster.
The midfielder is set for a Premier League move in the January transfer window following his brilliant season for Fluminense.
The Brazil international, who helped Fluminense win their first-ever Copa Libertadores this year, is set to move in the winter window, with Manchester United and Fulham very keen, as FootballTransfers exclusively revealed.
Sources informed us that, despite constant links to Liverpool, his side have been told that they are no longer in the running, leaving the floor wide open for other clubs to come in.
Fulham are very much involved and have carried out a great deal of the legwork to bring in the 22-year-old - but nothing is done yet as we enter crucial months.
What has Romano said about Andre?
Speaking on November 28, Fabrizio Romano said via Kick.com: “There is an obsession with this Andre story. Liverpool are still very well informed on the situation of Andre but Liverpool are currently not in negotiations with Fluminense.
“At the moment there is not a concrete discussion. That’s the reality. They (Liverpool) wanted him in the summer but they are not negotiating now.
“Fulham want Andre. Liverpool are just in contact with people close to Andre but they are not actively negotiating with Fluminense. I can’t predict the future. Interest? Yes. Negotiation. No”
