Jose Mourinho is the man to resurrect Antony’s career following his disastrous stint at Manchester United.

That is according to SciSports’ sophisticated player evaluation model which analyses which clubs best suit certain players.

The model assesses factors such as club rank, potential development, playing time, playing style, formation, club status and likeliness in order to generate a club fit rating out of 100.

The higher the rating, the better fit the player is for that club.

And SciSports deduced that the team Mourinho manages, AS Roma, are the best fit for Antony.

Roma have a club fit rating of 80 for Antony, making the Italian giants comfortably the ideal team for the Brazilian.

The joint-second best fits for Antony are Chelsea and Newcastle United, who have a rating of 76.

Despite his struggles at Man Utd, Antony’s current team are still rated as the fourth best fit for the winger with a rating of 74.

Liverpool are next with a rating of 73, with Napoli and Real Madrid in joint-sixth with a club fit rating of 72 points.

Completing the top 10 are Mancester City and Juventus with 71 and Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich at 70.

However, while Roma may be the best fit for Antony right now, it should be noted that Mourinho’s contract at the Stadio Olimpico expires at the end of the season.

Currently, there are no signs of the contract being extended and so the club fit could change were the Portuguese manager to leave.

The Brazil winger joined from Ajax last year for €100 million but has been a huge disappointment so far.

This season he has been especially bad, managing no goals or assists in all competitions.

This has led to Man Utd considering signing a new right winger during the January transfer window.

Jadon Sancho is expected to leave after falling out with manager Erik ten Hag, leaving open a new space for a new signing.
