Angry Rashford hits out at ‘malicious rumours’
Manchester United attacker Marcus Rashford has hit out at what he describes as “malicious rumours” being spread against him online.
Rashford has found himself in the football transfer news headlines this week after failing to make the Man Utd squad that travelled to face Fulham in the Premier League at the weekend.
The England striker watched on from the bench as a late goal from Bruno Fernandes settled the match 1-0 in favour of Erik ten Hag’s side, easing the pressure on the embattled manager and club after 3-0 home defeats to Manchester City and Newcastle in the space of a few days.

Rashford had been pictured at a party following the Man City defeat, sparking a slap on the wrist from Ten Hag, but also claims that he had been left out of the squad because of disciplinary issues at the weekend.
The 26-year-old is clearly unhappy with the speculation surrounding his relationship with the manager, who has already forced Cristiano Ronaldo out the door and exiled Jadon Sancho because of discipline reasons.
Rashford, though, says that is not the case for him.

Rashford reacts to United Stand post
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, the forward reacted angrily towards a post made by the United Stand fan channel, which was discussing his case.
“Please STOP spreading malicious rumours,” he posted in a reply to the post, quickly gathering thousands of likes from Man Utd supporters across the globe as they rallied behind him.

Fabrizio Romano has already given the inside story of exactly how events unfolded between Rashford and Ten Hag, revealing that there was nothing sinister about the forward’s absence from the squad against Fulham.
Indeed, the striker will hope to be involved in the midweek Champions League match against Copenhagen or the weekend’s Premier League clash with Luton prior to the international break.
