Man Utd make SURPRISE Antony plan as Sancho destination becomes clearer
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has decisions to make over wingers Antony and Jadon Sancho during the January transfer window.
The former is entirely out of form and has failed to live up to his €95 million price tag since arriving from Ajax, while the latter has not been seen since falling out with Ten Hag in September after comments the Dutchman made following a Premier League match against Arsenal.
Ten Hag appears to have drawn a conclusion for both issues.
Antony is set to remain at the club, according to a report from Football Insider, which states that the Brazil winger retains the full confidence of Ten Hag, despite failing to contribute either a goal or an assist so far this term.
Rather than take a back seat, it is expected that Antony will play a more prominent role in the team in the weeks ahead. After Alejandro Garnacho’s goal against Everton on Sunday, this is news that is not likely to enthral Man Utd supporters.
Sancho’s future at Juventus?
The case of Jadon Sancho is clear cut. The idea is to offload the former Borussia Dortmund winger in any way possible in January.
Although there are few options apparently on the table, especially as the player is reportedly reticent to move to the Saudi Pro League, Juventus are growing increasingly optimistic over their chances of landing the 23-year-old.
Borussia Dortmund are reportedly the priority of Sancho, but his wages will make a deal difficult.
Instead, Fichajes reports that Juventus are confident that their long-standing positive relationship with Manchester United could be enough to force a loan deal through.
The Turin club are set to launch an official move for the player soon.
Juventus reportedly see Sancho’s dribbling qualities and speed as fitting perfectly into their style.
