Man Utd's January priorities for Ten Hag's 'reset' revealed
Erik ten Hag is keen to strengthen his Manchester United side in two positions in January, according to a report.
The Dutchman has overseen a dire start to the 2023/24 season and is intent on changing the club's fortunes, confident that his squad can at least qualify for the Champions League again come the end of the campaign.
The Sun claims that Sir Jim Ratcliffe's seemingly impeding investment and acquisition of a minority stake in the Red Devils will see Ten Hag awarded a January 'war chest' in order to complete several priority signings.

The head coach wants to 'reset' and refresh his roster in the winter window and to that end, he is targeting a new right-back and a versatile winger, capable of playing on either flank, it is asserted. Specific names were not mentioned, however.
In light of the drama surrounding Jadon Sancho and Antony - and the lack of goal production from the team's attackers in the Premier League - United have been linked with a host of wingers in recent months, including the likes of Serge Gnabry and Nico Williams. In terms of right-backs, Sacha Boey and Jeremie Frimpong are names associated with the Manchester giants.
Three exits?
The report also claims that Ten Hag is willing to listen to offers for three stars. Unsurprisingly, Sancho is among them given that he remains in first-team exile after publicly hitting back at the Dutchman over being dropped in September. Juventus have enquired about the winger, while Saudi interest remains despite a failed summer move.
More interestingly, it is affirmed that the coach will also entertain offers for Antony and Anthony Martial. It is true that the latter's future continues to be in doubt after, once again, failing to have any kind of impact this season, though recent reports have stated that he would be kept around at least until the summer.

As for Antony, there have thus far been no serious suggestions that Ten Hag would be willing to let his former Ajax star leave despite his atrocious form since his arrival last year. United shelled out almost €100 million on him and Fabrizio Romano recently reported that rumours linking the Brazilian with a January exit are wide off the mark.
