Why Ten Hag could miss out on Man Utd transfer targets
Erik ten Hag is likely to miss out on his January transfer targets at Manchester United.
As the window approaches, INEOS founder Sir Jim Ratcliffe is still in talks to purchase 25 per cent of the club.
And, once the deal is finally completed, Ratcliffe will look to overhaul the club's sporting department.

So, the Daily Express are reporting that he is in a race against time to sort out the situation in order to conduct January transfer business.
Ten Hag will be hoping for significant backing in the window as the squad clearly needs strengthening.
The Red Devils have been struggling with an injury crisis among the backline and there are also concerns with the attack.
Man Utd transfer targets
According to the Daily Mail, Erik ten Hag would like to bring in a striker in the January transfer window.
Despite the €75 million summer signing of Rasmus Hojlund from Atalanta, the Dutchman believes he is in need of more firepower.
Given that Hojlund is just 20 years of age, United are expected to move for a more experienced centre forward.

Elsewhere, Ten Hag's biggest priority is a central defender, given the club's ongoing injury troubles.
United have been forced to play Harry Maguire and 35-year-old Jonny Evans at the back against Premier League and Champions League competition.
Nice defender Jean-Clair Todibo has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford, with a fee of €50 million thought to be enough.
