Man Utd receive Sancho offer as exit begins to take shape
Manchester United have received their first offer for Jadon Sancho, according to a report.
The 23-year-old is all but certain to depart Old Trafford in the January transfer window. Still stuck in Man Utd exile - and with no intention to apologise to Erik ten Hag for his outburst earlier in the season - a winter move is the only solution for Sancho to get back to playing football.
A Saudi Pro League team had already attempted to sign him shortly before the country's summer window slammed shut, but the England winger did not seriously consider the offer. He is still said to not be convinced that a move to the Middle East is right for him at this stage of his career, though interest in his services remains.
His former club Borussia Dortmund remain in the picture, but at this stage, a deal is deemed impossible. Finally, Juventus have recently emerged as a serious suitor and it is the Bianconeri who have now launched a first offer.
Juventus make opening proposal
That's at least according to Calciomercato, which reports that Juventus have tested the waters with an initial loan offer for Sancho. The Serie A side would be prepared to cover a third of his whopping €20 million salary, but they are not willing to accept an obligation to buy.
The outlet acknowledges that this offer is unlikely to be accepted unless the Red Devils become incredibly desperate to get Sancho (partially) off the books. United would obviously prefer a permanent move or a loan with a buy obligation that would allow them to recoup a good chunk of their original €85m outlay, but such an offer is unlikely to come from a European club.
As for Sancho, his preference is reportedly a return to Dortmund. If the Black and Yellow can't afford him, however, he might just have to head to Italy.
