Man Utd handed transfer boost as top target makes crucial decision
Manchester United transfer target Serhou Guirassy has rejected the opportunity to extend his contract at Stuttgart.
Guirassy has scored 16 goals in 12 Bundesliga games this season, attracting interest from a number of European clubs.
As a result, Stuttgart have been keen to tie the striker down to a new deal, especially given his existing release clause.
As it stands, it would take just €17.5 million (£15m) to pry the Guinea international away from the MHPArena.
The Bundesliga's third-place side could easily command more than double that fee if the clause was removed.
However, according to journalist Christian Falk, Guirassy has snubbed the contract offer as he is 'ready for the next step' in his career.

At 27 years of age, he feels that he does not have time to wait around for a move next summer.
And, Manchester United are in desperate need of reinforcements in order to save their season, with Rasmus Hojlund and Anthony Martial failing to deliver the goods up front.
Man Utd face competition
Newcastle and AC Milan have previously been linked with Guirassy, while TEAMtalk are reporting that West Ham have made the striker a "key target" for the January transfer window.
Meanwhile, BILD asserts that Borussia Dortmund are also in the race, with the club desperate to put an end to their poor domestic form.
Guirassy's release clause is €20m for clubs in Germany, though that would still be a bargain for the Black and Yellow.
