Revealed: Barcelona willing to sell Man Utd target for €100m
Barcelona are open to the idea of selling Brazil international Raphinha, but they have set an asking price of €100 million for the Manchester United target.
Raphinha, 27, moved to Camp Nou last summer and despite an encouraging first season in Spain, he has been heavily linked with an exit following Lamine Yamal’s breakout onto the senior stage.
Now, a departure in 2024 is regarded as a possibility, with Barcelona willing to discuss an exit, according to Sport.
The Spanish outlet have reported that Raphinha is no longer untouchable and Barca are open to the idea of selling him if the right offer is received.
The report states that Barcelona want a fee of €100m for the former Leeds United star, who joined the club for €58m in 2022.
Man Utd are still interested in signing the Brazilian, as per Sport, with a swap deal including Jadon Sancho touted as a possible option.
However, it remains to be seen if the Blaugrana would want to sign the former Borussia Dortmund star given his struggles since leaving the Bundesliga.
On the other hand, Saudi Arabia remains an option for Raphinha, if he is willing to leave European football to join the lucrative Saudi Pro League.
Raphinha doesn’t want Barcelona exit
According to Sport, Raphinha has made it clear that he doesn’t want to leave Barcelona, but the Spanish giants may push him towards the exit door if a suitable bid comes in.
Currently, Raphinha’s Estimated Transfer Value (ETV), as per FootballTransfers’ in-house Player Valuation Model, stands at just €28.6m. This has gradually fallen since his value peaked at €48.3m in April.
The Brazilian’s transfer value decrease has coincided with his reduced role at Barcelona, with Raphinha mustering just six La Liga starts so far this season. In total, he has two goals and six assists in 16 appearances 2023-24.
