Arsenal 'keeping a close eye' on former Bayern Munich wonderkid
Arsenal are reportedly 'keeping a close eye on' former Bayern Munich wonderkid Joshua Zirkzee.
Zirkzee has impressed since leaving Bayern, where he failed to make much of an impression on the first team.
Indeed, he has registered eight goals and four assists in all competitions in the 2023-24 season.
And, goal contributions are what Arsenal require, with Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah unable to deliver the goods in this campaign so far.
Zirkzee would not be a cheap solution, though, with the Serie A club believed to have set an asking price of £50m for the striker, according to The Telegraph.
Isak to Arsenal?
Another forward that Arsenal have on their shortlist is Newcastle's Alexander Isak, as FootballTransfers previously revealed.
The Gunners had targeted Isak during the summer of 2022, hoping to reunite him with former Real Sociedad teammate Martin Odegaard.
However, negotiations did not progress due to Arsenal's concerns over the player's hefty release clause.
Darren Eales (Newcastle CEO) on why #NUFC may need to sell player(s) in the future to grow:
“If you are churning players you create more headroom.

Isak eventually moved to Newcastle for a fee of £58 million, rising to £63m with add-ons.
And, the 24-year-old has impressed in the Premier League, scoring 19 goals in 37 matches for the Magpies.
The only reason that he may became available is that Newcastle are currently hamstrung by FFP constraints.
And, Sporting director Dan Ashworth has previously alluded to the need to sell players for the right price: "At some stage, you need to trade."
It remains to be seen what Newcastle's asking price is, and whether Arsenal would be willing to pay it.
