Five stars who will DEFINITELY leave on a free transfer, Mbappe EXCLUDED
There are now less than four months to go until European footballers on expiring deals see their contracts expire in July 2024.
These players are now permitted to open negotiations with new clubs and agree pre-contracts before joining on a Bosman Transfer on July 1.
For many players on expiring deals, there is still some uncertainty over their futures. The likes of Adrien Rabiot (Juventus), Toni Kroos and Luka Modric (Real Madrid), and Jorginho (Arsenal) could yet decide to stay on.

However, there are some big stars who we know are almost 100 per cent sure to leave on a free transfer. Below we go through five stars - not including Kylian Mbappe, who everyone knows is joining Real Madrid from PSG!
In the Premier League, Anthony Martial will leave Manchester United. The Red Devils had been hoping to offload the French attacker in January in order to secure a small fee.
However, Martial has rejected all moves away and his agent has now confirmed that he will see out his contract and leave on a Bosman Transfer at the end of the season. An injury that rules him out until April has guaranteed that.

Thiago Alcantara will certainly leave Liverpool on a free transfer at the end of the campaign. Now 32, the Spaniard has not played a single minute of football this season due to injury.
He is not part of Jurgen Klopp’s plans and has rejected a move to Saudi Arabia as he wants to stay in Europe. A Bosman Transfer to another European team is certain in June.
Ivan Perisic will not play another game for Tottenham Hotspur. The Croatian suffered an ACL injury at the start of the season.
In January he joined hometown team Hajduk Split on loan until the end of the season, which is when his Spurs contract expires. He turns 35 next month and Spurs will not renew his contract. A permanent move to Hajduk on a free transfer is likely.
Piotr Zielinski is certain now to leave Napoli on a free transfer after eight years at the club. Contract renewal talks with the 29-year-old have ended and the consensus in Italy is that Zielinski has already agreed a pre-contract with Inter in order to join on a Bosman Transfer at the end of the campaign.
Alex Sandro’s exit from Juventus on a free transfer is already well-known. The 33-year-old is in his ninth season with Bianconeri and for the first half of that was renowned as one of the best left backs in the world. His level has dropped in recent seasons but he still boasts an excellent reputation, having played at the World Cup for Brazil just over a year ago.
