Romano says HERE WE GO for Man Utd, Tottenham and Brighton transfers

Fabrizio Romano has confirmed three major transfers that affect Manchester United, Tottenham and Brighton will be concluded.

The January transfer window has been a relatively sedate affair so far, but the signs are that the major players in the Premier League are stepping up their plans, with Romano indicating a trio of deals will soon be official.

The first of these is Jadon Sancho’s move from Man Utd to Borussia Dortmund on a loan basis.

A deal has been in the pipeline for days, but minor details were holding it up from being finalised. Romano has confirmed that Sancho will return to the Bundesliga, with an estimated €4 million flowing back to Old Trafford in return.

The reaction from this deal could see Donyell Malen move to Man Utd in a reciprocal deal, with FootballTransfers of the understanding that the Netherlands international is a player who remains of interest to them.

Romano added that Radu Dragusin’s move from Genoa to Tottenham will be made official after a dramatic 24 hours for the Romania international defender.

Bayern Munich tried to hijack the deal by approaching the Serie A club with an improved offer, but Spurs in turn raised their bid.

Dragusin’s agent confirmed that the player did not want to go against his word, having already agreed to join Spurs around Christmas.

Tottenham’s interest in a player, who has been likened to a mini-Virgil van Dijk, was exclusively revealed by FootballTransfers in December.

Finally, Brighton are set to complete a move for Valentin Barco from Boca Juniors. Chelsea and Manchester City are among the teams left disappointed by his decision.

All eyes will be on the Argentine 19-year-old, who is the latest in a long line of players to make the move from South America to the AmEx Stadium, with the likes of Alexis Mac Allister, Oscar Estupinian and Moises Caicedo having excelled in the past.
