Real Madrid and Liverpool on alert as Mbappe waves GOODBYE to PSG
Kylian Mbappe will leave PSG at the end of the season, according to French media.
The die is cast, at least that is according to French journalist Abdellah Boulma. Kylian Mbappe has made up his mind and will depart Paris Saint-Germain in the summer, after the expiration of his contract.
The Frenchman has been the subject of intense speculation due to his expiring deal. Technically, the 25-year-old has been able to negotiate with interested clubs since January 1, but the player and his camp have insisted that they won't be rushed into making a decision.
If Boulma is to be believed, Mbappe has now, at the very least, decided that he will depart Paris. It is, however, asserted that he has not yet communicated his decision to PSG chief Nasser Al-Khelaifi, which casts some doubt on this latest report.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the "gentlemen's agreement," which Mbappe and Al-Khelaifi publically referred to recently, stipulates that the latter should be the first to learn of the former's final decision.
Real Madrid back in the race?
Contrary to recent reports, which have claimed that Real Madrid's interest in Mbappe has cooled due to his unwillingness to settle his future in a timely manner, Boulma solely spoke of Los Blancos when discussing the attacker's next steps.
He asserts that Florentino Perez and Mbappe's camp have always remained in contact throughout this two-year transfer saga. Moreover, he claims that "Madrid are now waiting for the green light from the Parisian" to begin official negotiations.
Boulma made no mention of Liverpool, whom French media have continuously linked with Mbappe. Recent reports have insisted that you can't count the Reds out in the race to sign him as their courtship of him back when he was a Monaco youngster left a lasting impression.
