The possible addition of Michael Olise to Manchester United this year would spell disaster for Antony.

The Brazil ace has so far been the first-choice for Erik ten Hag, but if the Crystal Palace star was to arrive, you can be sure that the club's second-most expensive signing of all time will be moved on.

This is particularly true if Amad Diallo carries on developing at the rate he is. Antony is yet to score or provide an assist for Man Utd this season, while question marks were raised even last season over his form and whether he justified the £85million Man Utd paid Ajax for him in the summer of 2022.

It would be very hard to imagine the winger playing for the Red Devils next season at this rate, especially given Ten Hag’s job security right now is tentative at best. If the Dutchman goes, you can't see a future for Antony with the Premier League giants.

FootballTransfers has used SciSports’ career advice tool to find out what sides would be best suited to sign Antony, taking into account style of play, cost, and game-time.

Ajax

A return to Ajax could be viable. The Dutch league is about Antony’s level and it’s clear he enjoyed his football there. It may take some of the pressure off for a season or so, too. He can then recoup and aim for a higher division. The only thing is that it’s not a good look for Man Utd to sell back at a rate of say, £20m when they bought for over four times that much just two years back. We must not forget that Liverpool were also keen on Antony when he was playing in Holland, so perhaps this would be a perfect opportunity for him to rekindle that same form.

West Ham

West Ham have Jarrod Bowen as their first-choice right-winger, but there are no other out-and-out players in that position in the side. Of course, a move for Antony to West Ham would be deeply unpopular for their fans, but a Man Utd loan deal has worked out before for them by the way of Jesse Lingard. It will not likely happen, but SciSports states that the Hammers would serve as a great platform for the player to bounce back.

Juventus

Juventus also came up trumps when it came to taking Antony on. The Old Lady are enjoying a better season than their last campaign, but a sticking point would be Max Allegri’s 3-5-2 system. Antony is much better playing in 4-2-3-1 so it’s unlikely that there would be any space for him. That said, Antony boasts impressive defensive numbers, so perhaps putting him out on the flank as a wing-back could be his calling. But given his hefty wages, is it worth the risk?

AS Roma

AS Roma is another club that would work well for Antony. The club has a track record of helping those who have lost their way in the Premier League find their feet again. Jose Mourinho is regularly linked to Man Utd players but it would take some persuading for him to bring in Antony given his current form. That said, thee club do have a lot of strikers at their disposal but not enough wingers. For £20m or so, there could be a deal to be done there.

Real Sociedad

Real Sociedad have both wings well-stacked already. The Spanish have Takefusa Kubo on the right side and Mikel Oyarzaba on the opposite flank. They play in a 4-3-3 formation, which would be a better suit for Antony. It could be a decent switch for the former Sao Paulo more - he would not be under as much scrutiny at Sociedad, but there is no way that his pay packet would match that of his salary at Old Trafford.
