Barcelona are the richest women's club in world football ahead of the likes of Manchester United and Real Madrid.

The Deloitte Money League ranks the world's football clubs by the revenue they generate on an annual basis and their latest report for the women's game sees Barcelona topping the charts with an income of €13.4 million for the 2022/23 season.

Naturally, with the women's game still struggling to secure adequate funding and promotion, this revenue is nothing compared with the eye-watering sums in the men's game where Real Madrid lead the way with €831.4 million. By contrast, Real Madrid Femenino generated €7.4m in 2022/23.

This sees Las Blancas sitting in third behind Manchester United, who boosted their income by qualifying for the UEFA Women's Champions League for the first time after a surprising runners-up finish in the Women's Super League last term. United's turnover clocked in at €8m.

Barcelona still on top

Barcelona, who continue to dominate European women's football, boosted their income by 74 per cent compared to the previous season and are once again the runaway leaders by quite some distance thanks to domestic and international success, winning the UWCL.

Despite the relatively high incomes of Barca and Real Madrid, English clubs dominate the top ten, with Man City, Arsenal and Chelsea occupying spots four to six and Tottenham sitting 10th. Intriguingly, PSG in seventh are the only French club in the top 15.

Perennial French champions Lyon are conspicuously absent from the list, as are UWCL finalists Wolfsburg. Juventus are the only Italian side, sitting in 15th, while Eintracht Frankfurt surprisingly beat Frauen-Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich to the honour of being Germany's richest club.

UWCL participants Benfica make the list with a revenue of €1.5m, sandwiched between Merseyside clubs Liverpool and Everton in 11th and 13th, respectively. Below is the complete top 15 of the world's richest women's clubs...
