Arsenal and Liverpool in multi-club battle for Ten Hag favourite
Arsenal and Liverpool are among the clubs who have made contact with Adrien Rabiot, according to a report.
The Juventus midfielder is, once again, the subject of intense transfer speculation. As in previous years, the Frenchman is out of contract in the summer and his mother and agent Veronique is assessing the best options for her son.
Rabiot is enjoying a good season at Juventus and this has seen his stocks rise this term. Over the last two summers, Man Utd had been hot on his heels, with Erik ten Hag keen to secure the 28-year-old's signature, but an agreement with his mother ultimately couldn't be reached and he remained at Juventus, signing one-year extensions both times.
This time, however, he may well be set for an exit. According to HITC, a host of Premier League clubs and European giants are chasing his signing, but the Bianconeri are also keen on keeping him.
Rabiot battle developing
The report asserts that at least four Premier League clubs have held talks with Rabiot's camp in recent months regarding a potential summer move. These clubs are thought to be Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham and Newcastle.
Intriguingly, there is no mention of Man Utd, who have also been said to again be keen on snapping up the soon-to-be free agent. In addition to the above-mentioned Premier League sides, Bayern Munich have also been in contact with the Frenchman.
All of these clubs will, however, face stiff competition from Juventus. The Serie A giants, currently second in the standings, are keen on keeping Rabiot for the foreseeable future, the player having been with the club since 2019 when they signed him on a free from PSG.
Sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli is said to be "working hard" on getting Rabiot to commit his future to the club. Giuntoli is also discussing fresh deals for Arsenal target Dusan Vlahovic and Federico Chiesa, it is asserted.
