Arsenal given asking price for striker 'equal to Haaland'
Arsenal must shell out at least €80 million if they want to have a chance of landing Dusan Vlahovic, according to a report.
The Juventus striker is enjoying a decent season, especially since the turn of the year. Fully fit and prolific, Vlahovic has been on fire in 2024 so far and this has reignited an interest that never really went away.
Europe's biggest hitters have always kept an eye on the Serb even after he joined the Bianconeri for an eye-watering €83.5 million, snubbing Arsenal in the process. Indeed, it is the Gunners who remain the most keen on the 24-year-old, with Mikel Arteta still seeing Vlahovic as his ideal forward.
FootballTransfers exclusively revealed last year that the Gunners still hold a very concrete interest in the talented forward, though their hopes of landing him recently appeared to have been dashed when news broke in Italy that he is likely to extend his Juventus contract.
'Exit door wide open'
Despite this, Juventus are still open to cashing in on the Serb at the right price according to Fichajes. Vlahovic, who was recently likened to Erling Haaland by Italian World Cup winner Giovanni Galli, can be snapped up in the summer for a fee of at least €80m.
The report further asserts that, despite talk of a new deal, the "exit door is wide open" for the ex-Fiorentina man should the right offer come in. The striker, also linked with the likes of Chelsea and Atletico Madrid, will be "one of the great protagonists of the summer transfer market," claims the Spanish outlet.
Vlahovic was also on the market in the previous summer, with Juventus having shown themselves willing to let him go to Chelsea in exchange for Romelu Lukaku and €40m in cash. The Blues, however, were unwilling to pay that fee and Lukaku ended up on loan at Roma.
