Arsenal, Man Utd and Liverpool in transfer 'blitz' for Juventus wonderkid
Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United are all interested in Juventus wonderkid Kenan Yildiz, according to Italian media.
The Turkish attacker is regarded as one of Europe's biggest talents, but his future had been in doubt ahead of the January transfer window. Despite starring for his country's senior national team in late 2023, the 18-year-old was struggling for minutes at Juventus.
The youngster reportedly informed club chiefs that he would be considering his options should that not change. Thankfully for him and Juventus, it did change, with head coach Max Allegri giving Yildiz some valuable minutes.
The likes of Arsenal and Liverpool had been lurking, with recruitment chiefs at both clubs long-time admirers of the Turkish talent. Gunners sporting director Edu has previously - and publically - expressed his admiration for Yildiz, while his then-Reds counterpart Jorg Schmadtke was already familiar with Yildiz during his time in charge of Wolfsburg's recruitment.
New Premier League 'blitz'
However, Juventus had no intention of letting Yildiz go in January, and that stance hasn't changed. The Bianconeri consider the 18-year-old attacker the future of their club and they smartly tied him down to a long-term deal last August.
Despite this, Premier League interest remains and Calcio in Pillole now reports that Liverpool, Man Utd and especially Arsenal are plotting a fresh transfer 'blitz' for Yildiz. Citing a report from Turkey, the Italian outlet asserts that the Gunners would be willing to shell out €40 million.
Juventus would not even consider selling for anything less than €60m, it is claimed, but recent reports out of Italy would suggest that they could eventually be tempted into cashing in on Yildiz.
While the Turkish international has not (yet) been mentioned as a candidate for raising funds, it has been asserted that the Old Lady are ready to sell highly-rated prospects in the summer to enable them to pursue deals for big-money stars such as Teun Koopmeiners.
