Sane urged to snub Premier League interest in favour of Bayern Munich stay
Bayern Munich legend Claudio Pizarro has told Leroy Sane to reject interest from the Premier League and continue his impressive form in the Bundesliga.
Sane, 28, left Manchester City in 2020, but he has been heavily linked with a return to the English top flight over the past few months.
Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing the Germany international as they look for a long-term replacement for Mohamed Salah, while Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are both monitoring the Bayern star, according to reports in Spain.
However, former Bayern Munich, Werder Bremen and Chelsea striker Pizarro believes that Sane should remain where he is.
When asked whether Sane should return to the Premier League or stay at Bayern, Pizarro told FootballTransfers: “Well, of course he has to stay at Bayern.
“I think he is a great player. We knew all the time what capability he has to play football, he just had some tough moments in the Premier League before.
“When he came [to Bayern] he wasn’t that happy at the beginning, but after that he started to train a little bit more, he had to work on his progress and he did that.
“Now he’s playing amazing football, he has a lot of confidence, he has a lot of experience now and he is a big part of the team. I think he should stay at Bayern Munich of course.”
Leroy Sane's incredible 2023-24 season so far in numbers
Sane has scored eight goals and provided 11 assists in just 20 Bundesliga appearances so far this season, and he has formed an impressive partnership with summer signing Harry Kane.

The former Man City winger has assisted five of Kane’s 24 league goals so far this campaign, a tally that no player in the entire division can match. By comparison, Florian Wirtz has assisted four of Victor Boniface’s goals for Bayer Leverkusen - which is the second most common assist to goal-scorer pattern in the Bundesliga.
Despite Pizarro’s comments, Sane only has 18 months left on his current contract at Bayern, meaning Thomas Tuchel’s side must act fast and tie him down to a fresh deal soon.
