Man Utd must submit 'crazy' bid to sign Serie A superstar - Romano

Manchester United target Bremer is “loved” at Juventus, but he could leave the club if they receive a “crazy” bid, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Juventus fought off competition from Inter Milan to sign the 26-year-old from Torino in 2022 and he has been an instrumental part of Massimiliano Allegri’s side ever since.

However, Man Utd are reportedly interested in signing Bremer as they look to add defensive reinforcements this summer.

Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite and OGC Nice’s Jean-Clair Todibo have also been linked with a move to Old Trafford in 2024, with the INEOS era now underway at Man Utd.

According to sensational reports in Italy, Juventus have placed a €100 million price tag on Bremer’s head as they look to discourage any interested parties. That figure is far higher than both the €44m Juventus spent to sign him 18 months ago and his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €32.4m.

Bremer to leave Juventus?

Despite Bremer’s transfer value being far lower than Juve’s asking price, the Italian giants will only sanction a sale if a large fee is lodged due to the fact the Brazilian recently signed a new contract until 2028.

Transfer expert Romano confirmed this to CaughtOffside. “Despite some speculation over his future, Bremer signed a new deal at Juventus in December, it was just six weeks ago,” he said.

“They love Bremer at Juventus. Still, as always for Italian clubs, things can change if they receive crazy proposals, so let’s wait for the summer and see if some crazy bids come in.”

Bremer has made 25 appearances in all competitions so far this season, scoring two goals, as Juventus lie second in the Serie A table, nine points behind league leaders Inter Milan.

Allegri’s side were held to a 2-2 draw against Hellas Verona on Saturday, with goals from Dusan Vlahovic and Adrien Rabiot not enough to see off the relegation-threatened team.
