Despite Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s acquisition of a minority stake at Old Trafford, Man Utd are still owned by the Glazers, who have been in charge since May 2005.

The Glazers have continued to consistently spend large fees on new signings in recent years, with over €100m spent in five of the past six seasons.

Their biggest spending season came in 2022-23, however. Man Utd spent a whopping €238m on new signings, as Antony, Casemiro and Lisandro Martinez all joined the club.
