Man Utd’s first major signing following the Glazers’ arrival was Edwin van der Sar from Fulham, while Ji-sung Park also joined during the same transfer window. Nemanja Vidic arrived just six months later in a fantastic first season of transfer business.
The Glazers have continued to consistently spend large fees on new signings in recent years, with over €100m spent in five of the past six seasons.
