Tottenham fans in DREAMLAND as wonderkid scores stunning solo goal after rejecting Barcelona
Tottenham Hotspur fans have been sent into dreamland after new signing Lucas Bergvall netted a sensational solo goal for Djurdgardens this weekend.
Bergvall, 18, will join Tottenham this summer after Ange Postecoglou’s side hijacked Barcelona’s deal to sign him on Transfer Deadline Day. The Blaugrana were convinced that Bergvall was Camp Nou-bound and were left stunned by his decision to join Spurs instead.
After opting to join Tottenham, Bergvall told Swedish newspaper Sportbladet: “It felt better in my gut. They're both incredible clubs. It was a very difficult choice, it was 50/50 for a very long time, but it felt like the next step for me was Tottenham.
“It wasn't very easy to say 'no' to Barcelona, it took a very long time to decide. It was a tough decision.”
Bergvall will team up with Swedish compatriot Dejan Kulusevski at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, but he insists the former Juventus winger didn't actively try to recruit him.
“We talked a little before,” Bergvall admitted. “In general, how the club works, how they work, how they train, what the days look like.
“It wasn't a persuasive talk like that. He just said the club was great and I noticed that when I got there. I got an incredible reception, it's a very family club but incredible people.”

On Sunday, Bergvall proved just why Barcelona were so desperate to sign him and why Spurs were delighted to have poached him from under the Blaugrana’s noses.
The 18-year-old scored Djurgarden’s fourth goal in their 5-0 rout of Nordic Utd FC in the Svenska Cupen and it has left Tottenham fans overjoyed by the prospect of his arrival this summer.

Bergvall picked the ball up inside his own half, instantly turned away from three opponents and drove forward towards the penalty area. He bypassed one defender with ease on the outside of the box before jinking in between two more, rolling the ball past the goalkeeper and one defender, and tapping home with his left-foot.
It was a stunning goal and one that has provided Tottenham fans with a glimpse of what the future holds.
