Arsenal or Chelsea? 'Frustrated' Isak's ideal next club revealed
Alexander Isak is said to be concerned about the current situation at Newcastle.
The Swedish sharpshooter has been on form this term, scoring 12 goals in 20 Premier League outings so far this season. However, because of frequent injuries to Newcastle players, including the 24-year-old, the Magpies only languish in tenth and head coach Eddie Howe is under pressure.
Unsurprisingly, the players aren't happy about this state of affairs, chief among them star midfielder Bruno Guimaraes. According to HITC, the Brazilian is frustrated with what's going on Tyneside as interest in his services grows.

Alexander Isak is also mentioned as a player who is growing increasingly concerned. Is an exit on the cards? Isak is still under contract until 2028, but speculation surrounding his future refuses to go away. According to the above-mentioned report, PSG scouted the Swede in Newcastle's limp FA Cup display against Man City at the weekend.
Stay or go?
When fit and firing, Isak is an absolutely devasting forward. The problem is that he has had a few injury issues in recent times, but he nevertheless remains a highly-rated player.
Arsenal and Chelsea both hold a long-standing interest in the former Borussia Dortmund wonderkid and while they will have different priority options for the summer, it is not inconceivable that they could look at the Newcastle man again should they fail to land their main targets.
But Isak would be well advised to snub any London interest that comes his way. Indeed, according to data experts SciSports, the 24-year-old should snub any transfer interest period. They believe that Newcastle are by far his best-suited club.

Alexander Isak's top five clubs
Team | Club Fit | Development | Playing Time | Playstyle | Formation |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Newcastle | 87 | ***** | **** | **** | ***** |
Man Utd | 75 | **** | *** | * | ***** |
Aston Villa | 75 | **** | *** | **** | * |
Man City | 75 | **** | * | *** | **** |
PSG | 74 | **** | **** | * | ** |
If he were to want out, however, there are of course also decent options out there. One of them is, intriguingly, Man Utd, who are joint-second with Aston Villa and Man City in the list of Isak's ideal next clubs as per SciSports' Career Advice tool.
SciSports evaluate hundreds of data points to calculate a Club Fit rating. Man Utd and the other two clock in at a respectable but unspectacular 75, while Newcastle have a brilliant score of 87, illustrating that the grass isn't always greener on the other side.
The Red Devils are in the market for a striker to take the pressure off young Rasmus Hojlund and Isak could be a brilliant acquisition, especially in the event of Erik ten Hag getting sacked. Despite Man Utd's solid rating, there are concerns about how the Swede would suit their current style of play.
Interestingly, PSG complete the top five. Similarly to Arsenal and Chelsea, they have a different priority for the summer in Victor Osimhen, but with the Blues also interested in the Nigerian, the French giants could yet shift their focus onto Isak.
