Arsenal and Chelsea HIJACKED by Man Utd - Fabrizio Romano
Arsenal and Chelsea could be hijacked by Manchester United in their attempts to sign Ivan Toney this summer, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Arsenal and Chelsea are reported to be going head to head for Toney this summer, with Brentford set to sell the striker as his contract expires in 2025.
Newcastle and West Ham have also been linked with Toney, but Romano now reports that Man Utd could enter the race as well.
What did Romano say?
“It’s just one of the options to be considered and discussed internally,” Romano said on CaughtOffside.
“As I said here multiple times, Man United are still in early stages of the process to decide which striker they want to sign; experienced or young.
“Talks are gonna take place internally, Toney will be one of the names available on the market so could be one to watch.”

Toney was one of the hottest properties in the January transfer window, with Arsenal and Chelsea both keen to buy him.
The 28-year-old ended up staying at Brentford, but Brentford manager Thomas Frank has since admitted that it is virtually certain that Toney will be sold at the end of the campaign.
Chelsea and Arsenal also have other targets on their shortlist such as Victor Osimhen and Joshua Zirkzee so it remains to be seen if they will get involved in a bidding war with teams like United.

Toney missed the first half of this campaign due to a betting ban but returned to playing in January.
He has since been in decent form, scoring four goals in 10 games.
