Arsenal star's brother set for controversial transfer to north London
Quinten Timber is having an excellent season at Feyenoord.
The midfielder has absorbed the departure of captain Orkun Kökcü in the summer without any problems and has now even been called up for the preliminary squad of the Dutch national team. Timber's development has not gone unnoticed in England, where Tottenham Hotspur are keen on his arrival.
The club from north London are currently closely monitoring Timber's activities and are considering taking action next summer. His arrival at Tottenham Hotspur could create a spicy situation in the capital given that his brother, Jurriën, is under contract with arch-rivals Arsenal.

However, the question remains whether Tottenham Hotspur will actually acquire Timber. HITC reports that Newcastle United are also interested in the midfielder, who received his youth training at Feyenoord and Ajax. The Magpies are said to have sent a delegation of scouts to Rotterdam to watch Timber as well as teammates Lutsharel Geertruida and Santiago Giménez.
Timber reunion in north London?
It has also been reported that a reunion of the brothers is not ruled out, as Arsenal have also had the Feyenoord midfielder on their radar for some time.
According to former Aston Villa midfielder Karim El Ahmadi, Timber, who is still under contract in Rotterdam until 2026, is one of the few players at Feyenoord who are ready to take the next step in their careers.

"Physically and in terms of his footballing ability a really great player," El Ahmadi said on Dutch ESPN. The former Feyenoord player believes that Timber is one of the players in Arne Slot's team who really stood out against runaway league leaders PSV on Sunday: "In the big matches, he is one of the few who really excel."
If Quinten were to turn up at Spurs, it would continue the 22-year-old's trend of playing for the hated rivals of his brother's club. While Jurrien was starring for Ajax, Quinten left Amsterdam for Utrecht before joining Feyenoord in 2022.
