How Cubarsi can help Barcelona raise €100m
Barcelona may raise a suitable amount of funds for the summer transfer window by the way of Pau Cubarsi.
The 17-year-old has enjoyed a breakout season for the La Liga giants, becoming a regular starter for coach Xavi Hernandez, with the club legend even shelving the more experienced Inigo Martin in favour of the teenage prospect.
Cubarsi recently earned a callup to the Spanish national side and it’s been reported via El Nacional that Barcelona president Joan Laporta and sporting director Deco are already working to close a renewal in his current deal, which currently ends in 2026.

It’s especially a pressing matter as there are already several teams that are interested in paying the release clause that exists in his current deal, set at a measly €10 million.
It’s thought that the youngster has developed so quickly that he has allowed the board to begin to seriously consider the sale of Ronald Araujo, a played reportedly wanted by Manchester United and Bayern Munich.
All efforts to extend his contract have not worked and, as of now, the defender can leave Barcelona as a free agent in 2026.
How much would Ronald Araujo cost Man Utd?
For Laporta, it’s believed it would be very difficult to reject a proposal that reaches €100m for Araujo.

With Cubarsi, Barca may have found an ideal successor for the player, making a move for him all the more likely.
Indeed, the Red Devils are thought to be admirers of Araujo.
The 25-year-old missed the start of the season with an injury but has made 30 appearances in all competitions so far this campaign, notching nine clean sheets along the way.
ESPN reports Man Utd are keen to bring in a new centre-back, with the futures of duo Raphael Varane and Victor Lindelof both in doubt.
It's believed that Barcelona will consider offers in the region of €100m for Araujo this summer, though they would rather he remained at the Camp Nou.
