Milos Kerkez to Chelsea: Romano reveals the state of play
Fabrizio Romano has revealed the latest on Chelsea's interest in Milos Kerkez.
The Bournemouth youngster is enjoying an impressive first season in the Premier League after joining the Cherries from AZ for just shy of €18 million in the summer. The Hungarian has become one of the English top flight's most intriguing talents.
Last month, reports surfaced that Chelsea have begun keeping tabs on Kerkez as they continue their search for a new left-back. Ian Maatsen has been loaned to Borussia Dortmund and will be sold in the summer.

Marc Cucurella, who only arrived from Brighton for a whopping €65.3m in 2022, is also earmarked as departure for the upcoming transfer window, with the Spaniard having failed to impress at Stamford Bridge, though has looked a bit improved under Mauricio Pochettino.
Kerkez has thus seemingly become one of the Blues' key targets ahead of the summer and supporters believe that the youngster recently dropped a hint on social media, supposedly proving that he wants to join Chelsea.
Romano on Kerkez
However, according to Fabrizio Romano, it is way too early for anything concrete to materialise regarding Kerkez's future. Indeed, the Italian transfer expert asserts that Bournemouth don't even know yet whether to keep or sell the Hungarian.
“Milos Kerkez is an excellent young talent doing well at Bournemouth, and there’s been plenty written about him recently being scouted by Chelsea and others,” Romano told CaughtOffside. “My understanding is that clubs in Italy, Germany and England are following Kerkez regularly, as he’s an excellent talent."

"Nothing is concrete at this stage from what I’m hearing, not even Bournemouth's plans for Kerkez as they signed him just one year ago… it’s still early but what’s sure is that Milos is super appreciated around Europe."
"Meanwhile, we know Chelsea are going to be looking at top young left-backs, so that’s why we are going to see Kerkez and probably many others linked with the Blues, but as I said, nothing is concrete right now as far as I understand.”
